A fast-growing Welsh Oracle partner has bolstered its already “predominantly female” exec team with the appointment of Lynette Slater as CEO.
Newport-based de Novo Solutions was earlier this year ranked by IT Channel Oxygen among the fastest-growing UK channel partners by headcount.
The Oracle and ServiceNow specialist last week announced co-founder Mark Sweeny had passed the CEO baton to Slater as he became Executive Chairman.
He co-founded de Novo – which now has 150 staff – in 2021 after selling previous venture, Certus Solutions, to Accenture in 2018.
At the same time, de Novo has also appointed Tracy Stephenson as its CFO, promoted Alex Alexandru from VP Finance Experiences to COO for Consulting, and Helen Crisostomo from VP Business Development to Chief Commercial Officer – with all taking new positions as board advisors.
Tara Dewar will take on the role of COO for BPO and Support Services, and Chief People Officer Charlene Young will assume responsibility for IT and Compliance, meanwhile.

In a note on LinkedIn, Sweeny emphasised that Slater will lead a “predominantly female executive team”, something he said “remains rare in our sector”.
Counting central and local government, police forces and multi-academy trusts as its key stomping ground, de Novo claims to utilise Oracle Cloud and ServiceNow solutions to transform HR, payroll, finance and procurement functions.
Slater has racked up 30 years of experience within insurance, financial services and software organisations, de Novo said.
“We will build on the foundations created by Mark, the senior leadership team, and every person across de Novo, ensuring strong support for our teams, clear ways of working, and consistently better outcomes for clients,” Slater stated.
“I am looking forward to getting to know the team, our clients, and our strategic partners over the coming weeks, and helping elevate de Novo to the next level of success.”
