Fresh from being called out by an analyst as one of the world’s top-three performing channel partners, Computacenter this morning has yet again raised its full-year outlook.
The LSE-listed giant delivered an “excellent Q3 performance ahead of our expectations” as hyperscale and neocloud deals in North America and the UK fuelled product growth, according to a Q3 trading update.
It now expects full-year adjusted profit before tax to be “no less than £425m”.
That’s up on the upgraded £380m estimate it issued in September, and last year’s £272m haul.
Having expanded its North American business via a string of five acquisitions, Computacenter bagged a place in the FTSE 100 for the first time in June.
Top-notch trio
It is one of three “standout performers” for the global channel this year alongside LSE-listed peer Softcat and Nordic Atea, Canalys founder Steve Brazier said earlier this month.
“They’re doing that with datacentre spending,” he said, adding in remarks that drew controversy that “the money in AI today for the channel in in building the datacentres, not in developing AI”.

Computacenter’s UK business broke the £2bn top-line barrier in the first half, as its overall gross invoice income surged 59% to £8.93bn.
Its domestic arm continued to achieve “excellent growth” in product resale and “solid growth” in professional services during Q3, Computacenter said this morning.
Computacenter’s ballooning domestic performance reignites an intriguing UK marketshare battle with Softcat, which earlier this month reported full-year gross invoiced income of £4.7bn.
North America also “continued its strong momentum” in Q3 for Computacenter, while Germany delivered a “robust underling performance versus last year”.
“As highlighted at the half year, we continue to take action in Germany to improve efficiency and align our resources with demand,” Computacenter stated.
Computacenter’s share price immediately leapt around 6% on the news this morning, propelling its market value closer to £5bn.
