Alter ego: Andrea Pirlo

What’s the heavily manufactured comparison? Gifted playmakers

Tell us more…

Andrea Pirlo was famous for completing 100 passes per game. But the IT channel has its very own link man hiding in plain sight.

Just as the Italian passing machine was the perfect connection between defence and attack, TD Synnex fulfils a similar playmaker role between vendors and VARs.

TD Synnex reception

And the eerie comparisons don’t end there.

Just as few would recognise a bearded Pirlo if he strolled down their local high street, the TD Synnex brand means nothing to 99.9% of the general population (despite its whopping $23bn market value).

Vital to every team he played in and yet relatively overlooked and uncelebrated, we’d go as far to say that the jinking midfielder is TD Synnex dressed in a football kit.

Double-take rating: **
