No small beer: Daisy rolls WiFi to 1,600 Greene King sites

Greene King has credited Daisy Corporate Services with improving WiFi download speeds for its patrons as part of a networking upgrade of its 1,600 sites.

Daisy’s reseller and MSP arm is six months through the contract, which saw it become the pub brewer and retailer’s primary provider of WAN, LAN, WiFi and voice services.

Daisy claims its decision to line up behind vendor ally Fortinet, for which it is an Expert partner, ensured delivery has kept pace with Greene King’s “ambitious” roll out schedule.

“In only six months we achieved what some would have thought impossible and have successfully rolled out connectivity to nearly 700 Greene King pubs so far,” said Chris London, Director of Business Development at Daisy Corporate Services.

The new network is designed to boost operational performance and customer experience.

Greene King’s Head of Retail, Indhu Sathisasselan, claimed the Bury St Edmunds-based outfit is already seeing the fruits of Daisy’s work.

“We have already started to see tangible results from the new network with both guest WiFi download speeds increasing significantly and the number of marketing opt-ins rising,” she said.

“We have also seen operational improvements with the new telephony systems and received great feedback from customers and employees. This is an ambitious project and I’m pleased to have Daisy with us on this journey. The company’s expertise and support have been invaluable and, at this point, we consider them as an extension of our team.”
