SoftwareOne claims it’s one of the first partners worldwide to be award Microsoft’s new Copilot Specialisation.
Unveiled in July, the specialisation is designed to enable partners to showcase their experience and capabilities with Copilot, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio, and agents.
To earn it, partners must first attain either the Business Applications, Modern Work or Security Solutions Partner designation.
They must also hit a number of performance, skilling and customer reference metrics, including having 1,000 monthly active users growth of M365 Copilot in the trailing 12 months.
Switzerland-based SoftwareOne said it delivered “hundreds” of successful Copilot engagements, including 1,362 adoption and security projects. It sealed its merger with fellow Microsoft partner Crayon on 2 July.
The news comes as Microsoft continues to push its largest resellers away from Enterprise Agreements and towards its Cloud Solutions Provider (CSP) scheme, which it sees as its “hero motion” for accelerating AI in the SME space.
Microsoft’s aggressive EA incentive changes blew a hole in the Stans-based outfit’s Q2 gross billings.
It claims to have added around 200,000 new Copilot users during the quarter, pushing its total user base to over 1 million users at 30 June 2025.
“This specialisation is a big milestone for our customers and our people,” SoftwareOne COO Oliver Berchtold said of its new Copilot badge.
“It proves that when organisations are looking for a trusted partner to get the most out of Copilot, SoftwareOne is the safe pair of hands to lead that journey from pilot to success. We make Copilot adoption smoother, secure, scalable, compliant, and unlock agentic extensibility.”
