Appetite for M&A

Ambitious Oracle and Microsoft partner Version 1 is aiming to increase in size by ten times under new backer Partners Group – with M&A integral to the strategy.

In January, it announced a double swoop on UK-based duo Automation Logic (adding AWS and Azure skills) and Qubix, swelling its headcount by over 300 to above 3,000.

Version 1, which styles itself as an ‘enterprise transformation partner providing digital, data and cloud solutions and next-generation managed services’, claims the growth places it as the largest Irish-founded technology employer.

What they said

“Version 1 and Automation Logic are combining to create one of the strongest cloud transformation capabilities in the UK. As award-winning partners to market-leading cloud providers, our customers will benefit from our increased depth and breadth of expertise in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, DevOps and Platform Engineering” – Enda Diggins, Managing Director of Version 1’s UK Digital, Data and Cloud practice.

Fun fact

Version 1 recently announced that one of its Azure consultants had become the first Microsoft MVP [Most Valuable Professional] in its history.
