9. ITGL acquired by Conscia

When: February

Magnitude

Portsmouth-based Cisco Gold partner ITGL turned over £27m in its fiscal 2023, ranking 168th in IT Channel Oxygen’s recent Oxygen 250 report.

Rationale

Operating in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovenia, Nordic Capital-backed Conscia has made 17 acquisitions in ten years.

The deal for 70-strong collaboration, networking and cybersecurity specialist ITGL marked its entrance into the UK.

What the CEO said

“The UK has a strong and expansive technology ecosystem and is one of the largest markets in Europe. Through ITGL’s forward-thinking technical know-how and industry experience, we will be well-placed to contribute to the region’s continued IT infrastructure growth and digital transformation,” Conscia CEO Erik Bertman

Fun fact

Employing over 1,000 staff, Conscia claims to serve five out of the six top Nordic banks.
