2. Focus Group
Q1 acquisition activity: RPM Communications, Pinnacle, Datasharp
M&A agenda
This comms provider is the most acquisitive UK IT provider of 2024 so far, at least going by volume of deals.
Having bolstered its healthcare business in January by acquiring RPM Communications, Focus Group then moved to strengthen its Southwest presence by gobbling Bristol-based Pinnacle and Truro-based Datasharp in February and March, respectively.
The trio employed an average of 22, 22 and 48 staff in their latest years, respectively, according to their most recent accounts.
The aim is for 870-employee, Bowmark Capital-backed Focus Group – which ranked 25th in the recent Oxygen 250 – to cross-sell more of its services into the acquired firms.
What they said
“This acquisition [of Datasharp] presents exciting opportunities for us to leverage our combined expertise, expand our service offerings, and drive continued success – particularly in the Southwest,” – Brian Lodge, Regional Director at Focus Group
