Logicalis
SBTi status: Committed in December 2022
Logicalis’ commitment to SBTi will “ensure we are held accountable to our carbon reduction targets”, CEO Bob Bailkoski said in the accompanying statement last December.
More recently, Logicalis released its first environmental statement setting out 10 sustainability pledges and expressing an aim for Logicalis to become carbon neutral on scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025 and a net zero carbon organisation by 2050.
The $1.7bn-revenue outfit is pursuing a new travel policy and turning the screws on its suppliers as it bids to cut its emissions.
Estimated Co2e footprint (2022): Scope 1: 1,192 tonnes, Scope 2: 3,035 tonnes, Scope 3: 352,119 tonnes (total: 356,670 tonnes)
EcoVadis progress
Logicalis says it is intent on achieving an EcoVadis sustainability rating across all regions in the Group.
What they said
“Travel is something we all do in this industry, but if we don’t look at how we’re doing it we’re never going to achieve the scope 3 emissions. We’re not saying no air travel – that’s impossible in the industry and the world we live in. But it’s trying to find and compare and look at lower-carbon travel rather than the easy default – and that’s the way we’re driving it down,” – UK&I MD Alex Louth.
Distinctive detail
In an effort to embed sustainability into its DNA, Logicalis has begun linking part of its exec bonuses to its sustainability progress.
