6. Jenny Latimer – “I keep in touch with everyone I’ve mentored”

In episode 3, Highgate Operations Director Jenny Latimer opened up on her efforts to bring free mentoring to the channel via The Channel Community.

Founded in 2021, the non-profit outfit is there to help “anyone looking for a little bit of support and advice” in the industry, not just new starters, Latimer emphasised.

“I’ve helped people through interview processes and I’ve helped people see their careers in a new perspective and led them down a path that they might not necessarily have seen for themselves,” said Latimer, who is one of The Channel Community’s mentors – AKA ‘Channel Buddies’.

“I keep in touch with all the people I’ve mentored, and it’s just being really great to see people improve themselves for the better,” she said.
