A quartet of execs is to take the reins at Westcoast as Managing Director Sunil Madhani prepares to step down.
The UK’s largest homegrown distributor – which is now part of European group ALSO – today announced that Madhani will hand over his responsibilities as Regional MD on 31 December 2026 as part of a “leadership transition”.
He will be succeeded by four executives in the form of Co-Regional MD Martha Perez, Chief Commercial Officer UK & Ireland Phil Bell, Solutions Director Stane Brlecic and Finance Director George Wooley.
Madhani assumed the hotseat at the start of last year after over 20 years as Westcoast’s CFO.
Opening up on the rationale for Westcoast’s sale to ALSO in May, Madhani told IT Channel Oxygen that selling to ALSO was “probably the only deal” he and former Westcoast Chairman Joe Hemani “would have done” (see here).
He will continue to lead the Theale-based giant until the end of the year, after which we understand he is leaving the business.

Swiss broadliner ALSO completed its acquisition of UK-based peer Westcoast last February, creating a pan-European giant with a €15bn-plus top line.
ALSO extended the pattern of barnstorming results among the world’s largest distributors in July when it posted a 21% hike in revenues in the first six months of 2026.
In a press statement today, Westcoast said it had delivered “strong growth in the UK and Ireland market” since entering into the ALSO union.
“The continued transformation plans will enhance Westcoast’s operational excellence, strengthen its position in the UK & Ireland markets and further integrate the company within ALSO’s ecosystem, building on the collaboration that has defined the partnership so far,” it stated.
