Acquisitive comms and IT provider Focus Group has announced its second deal of 2024 in the shape of Bristol-based Pinnacle.

Bowmark Capital-backed Focus Group has grown by an average of 31% in its three most-recent financial years on record on the back of persistent M&A. Fiscal 2022 revenues of £156.3m were enough to rank it inside the top 25 in the recent Oxygen 250.

Focus remained on the M&A trail in 2023, snapping up Zest4 in January, &Partners in August and Boxx Communications in October.

The Vodafone, Gamma, Palo Alto Networks and Microsoft partner has continued to produce its cheque book in 2024, following up its January purchase of RPM Communications by acquiring Pinnacle.

It billed Pinnacle – whose latest accounts indicate it has 22 staff – as a “well-established cloud communications and mobile specialist”.

The move is designed to bolster Focus’ geographical reach in the Southwest.

“This acquisition reflects our commitment to growth and not only further strengthens our operations in the Southwest but also brings together two companies that share a common vision for growth and customer satisfaction,” Focus Group Regional Director Brian Lodge said.

“Pinnacle’s product range complements Focus Group’s offerings in telecoms, IT, and mobile solutions, while its expertise in customer-centric UC technology presents additional opportunities for synergies and innovation.”
