Although SCC did not disclose its revenues, it claimed Resonate had around 150 employees at the time of the deal.
Rationale
Having acquired classic reseller business Vohkus in March 2023 and digital transformation consultancy Nimble in September 2023, SCC took aim at the Microsoft Teams space in February by purchasing Resonate.
Counting an unnamed 180,000-seat energy giant among its enterprise-leaning client base, Resonate offers cloud voice and collaboration services based on Microsoft Teams.
The move doubles the size of SCC’s collaboration business, while also handing it more referenceability in the space.
