Eight of this year’s Oxygen Influencers opened up on their career highs and 2025 plans for our recent Influencers podcast series (view all the episodes, bottom).
But we couldn’t let them go without asking them about their chosen walk-on songs – these being the ditties they’d want accompanying them on stage at an imaginary keynote or sporting event.
Compiled in partnership with Nebula Global Services, Oxygen Influencers featured 25 women and men who are driving positive industry change, but from outside the boardroom.
You can tell a lot about a person – including our Influencers – from the music that motivates them.
So who had the best walk-on song?
The contenders:
Olly Jeffery, Westcoast – ‘From the Ritz to the Rubble’ by The Arctic Monkeys
George Lavender, Ampito – either ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ by Chris Stapleton or ‘Ain’t No Stopping Us Now’ by McFadden & Whitehead
Janice Phayre, Telefonica Tech – ‘Big Spender’ by Shirley Bassey
Shola Sullivan, NTT Data – ‘All Night Long’ by Lionel Richie
Jenny Latimer, Highgate – ‘Ready for It’ by Taylor Swift
Manpreet Bath – ‘Vibe’ by Diljit Dosanjh
Yvonne Matzk, Coachere – ‘I Believe’ by Yolanda Adams
Rebecca Monk, Softcat – ‘Edge of Seventeen’ by Stevie Nicks
Ian Kilpatrick – ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life’ by Monty Python
Colin Williams, Computacenter – anything by Earth, Wind and Fire
